Dr. Peter Weidelich, DVM

Dr Peter Weidelich, aka (Dr Pete), graduated from the University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College in 1985. Upon graduation, he received the Humane Society Award for general proficiency in veterinary medicine.

He has been living and practicing veterinary medicine in the Stouffville/Markham area for the past 30 years.  Together with Dr. Brian Laing, they own of Town and Country Animal Hospital. His professional interests include internal medicine, dermatology and canine behaviour.

Other interests include the enjoyment of nature through fishing, canoeing and gardening.  In 2006, Dr Pete traveled to Guatemala with a team to drill a well for a rural village, providing pure water to a poor community.  While there, he assisted the farmers with their livestock helping to improve animal health. He hopes to participate in more humanitarian trips to the third world in the future.

Dr. Weidelich is a deacon at Stouffville’s Springvale Baptist Church.

He and his dog Riley are a common sight in Stouffville as they bike around town, with Riley out front
